Ewing Philbin
Owner and General Manager
Owner of Ross Recreation since 1984, Ewing loves working with manufacturers, designers, installers and the end users of the playgrounds he designs. In his free time, Ewing is an avid saltwater fly fisherman, hiker, and traveler, and spent many years on the Board of Teller Wildlife, a conservation organization in Montana.
Chris Tait
Sales Representative
In the fall of 2011, Chris Tait celebrated his 20th Anniversary with Ross Recreation. Chris has developed many long-standing relationships with customers in the Central Valley, who continue to appreciate his responsive customer care. Chris and his wife Kim spend their free time supporting their son Brady’s theatrical endeavors.
Liz Riehl
Sales Representative
Liz Riehl has been a huge asset to Ross Recreation for over 20 years. Whether in their office, on a jobsite, or on an old playground, Liz loves meeting with clients. Liz lives and works in California’s Central Coast area, where she spends weekends on horseback, with friends and family, or donating her time to a number of charities.
Jon Bawden
Sales Representative
Jon joined Ross in January 2000. Whether participating in volunteer builds or simply replacing a panel at a city park, Jon’s childhood years, spent working at his father’s construction company, has served him well in providing our customers with a true hands-on approach to customer service. Now with a family of his own, Jon still finds time to ride off-road in Enduro events with AMA District 36.
Nick Philbin
Sales Representative
Director of our Oregon office, Nick has been building and servicing relationships within the Oregon community since 2008. Whether helping design a truly custom park or helping with a volunteer installation, he values the end result: providing a space for people to play outdoors. Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and chasing the elusive steelhead through Oregon’s rivers!
Heather Hailey
Office Manager
Heather uses her accounting and business management experience to bring together and support the Ross Team and customers alike. She spends most of her free time watching her children play variety of sporting activities, and volunteers regularly at their school.
Bob Hanes
Project Management
Bob is our Operations and Project Manager, responsible for project construction. Bob has extensive construction experience and is also a certified Vortex Splashpad system start-up installer Bob enjoys classic cars, and car shows and the rich history of Sonoma County.
Bonney Philbin
Owner
Owner of Ross Recreation since 1984, Bonney works in finance and administration. Bonney enjoys gardening, hiking, writing and researching family history and is a member of Impact 100. She also loves testing out Ross products with her four granddaughters.
Judy Ogburn
Sales Support
Judy has been working with playground planners to create “just the right playground design” for over 16 years. Judy is a resource for clients and co-workers alike. When not in the office, Judy enjoys spending time with her family, including her five grandchildren.
Rebecca Whitten
Sales Support
Rebecca Whitten, during her 12 years at Ross Recreation, has become an expert in parts and site furnishings. Rebecca and her husband enjoy exercise.
Alex Hailey
Sales Support
Alex focuses on project estimating, customer service, and technology improvements. Alex enjoys traveling and photography.
Susan Surmick
Accounting and Administration
Susan handles accounts receivables, payables and lien releases at Ross Recreation. In her free time, Susan enjoys testing our Ross Recreation playgrounds with her daughter Amelia and husband Chad. At home, Susan loves growing vegetables and cooking.
