Visitacion Valley School Playground Safety Seminar
This month I had the opportunity to meet with teachers and staff at Visicacion Valley School in San Francisco to discuss playground safety. Ross Recreation, lead by our Construction Services Manager, Bob Hanes, had successfully renovated the school’s play area and the San Francisco Unified School District was anxious to have a safe and successful start when the new playground opened. New play equipment is exciting for kids but we all want children to get the most out of it and the safety orientation allowed us to introduce school staff to the new components and the right way to use them.
The teachers were excited, too, and were willing to climb on the structure and test out some of the challenging new pieces. It was a great afternoon with a great group, and a fun learning experience for everyone. Safety seminars can be fun!
