Ages 5-12 – PlayBooster®

The PlayBooster® is the original post-and-clamp system, which combines exciting ground-level playground components with climbing events and overhead activities for children ages 5 to 12. PlayBooster® is built to ensure minimal maintenance and ease of retrofit. PlayBooster® is continuously upgraded to meet new safety and environmental standards, provides whole-body strength and exceeds ADA requirements so that children of all abilities can join in the fun.

Ages 5-12 – Evos™

The Evos™ playground structure is Landscape Structures’ most successful modular play system designed for children ages 5 to 12. Introduced in 2006, Evos™ has quickly become Landscape Structures’ fastest growing playground component structure. Evos™ is easy to monitor and supervise, and offers superior self-directed play opportunities, a higher level of inclusiveness for all abilities, and greater physical fitness benefits.

For Toddlers – PlayShaper®

Scaled to size and built to address the unique social and creative needs of preschoolers, PlayShaper® Playsystems invite youngsters to develop their physical skills while learning the social skills needed for community life. Kids receive interactive sensory experiences to complement active play opportunities.

Ages 2-5 – Weevos™

The Weevos™ playground structure is designed to meet the unique physical, cognitive, sensory/motor, emotional/social and language needs of 2- to 5-year-olds. Its intriguing slides, climbers, and interactive ground-level play events capture preschoolers’ imaginations as they explore. Best of all, Weevos™ is designed to grow with kids, making it easy for them to graduate to the Evos™ playground structure when the time is right.

Ages 2-12 – Freestanding Play

Ages 2-12 – PlaySense®

PlaySense® playgrounds are perfect when you are looking for a cost-effective solution that does not require customization. These affordable playgrounds are offered in two configurations to serve both children ages 2 to 5 and ages 5 to 12.

PlaySense® playground equipment includes popular play events like playground slides, climbers, playground enclosures and more. With 25 pre-configured models to choose from, there is a playground design for every site and every budget.

Playground Personalization

Personalization on your playground or at the park adds an extra piece of uniqueness to your project. We create customized designs, play panels and signs for businesses, parks and sports complexes. We will work with you and our design department to create a unique look just for your project.

Theme Playgrounds

Theme playgrounds truly help set your community space apart from the others. At Ross Recreation, we are able to take your idea and keep the theme consistent from concept to production. We have created themes ranging from castles to farms to outer space. If you can dream it, we can build it!

Building Community Through Inclusive Play

We want to share a very special project with you that showcases perfectly the reason why we have worked alongside communities for over 40 years to build playgrounds. Members of the Humboldt community understand that playgrounds are more than metal and plastic; they are places where people come together to meet their neighbors, turn strangers into friends, and let our differences fall away in the pursuit of good old-fashioned fun.

The Greenview Playground Project in Arcata was a true labor of love, supported by the entire Humboldt community. Community members, local businesses, contractors and local government came together to build a play space where people (not just kids!) of all ages and abilities would find a safe haven to play, relax and feel included and wanted. The initial vision was inspired by a local young man who wanted a place where he would be able to play in his wheelchair alongside his younger sisters at their neighborhood park.

From there this project took off and evolved to try to include something for every potentially forgotten member of the community; injured veterans who desire a place to relax and reflect, visually impaired or blind people who may have a hard time traversing a typical playground, kids and adults with autism or sensory processing disorders who benefit greatly from sensory stimulation, low-income community members who may not be able to afford a gym membership, but want a place to get healthy, and many others. Every piece of this park design was thought out and selected with care in the hopes that all kinds of people would be drawn together and that the community as a whole could learn and grow in this space.

Ross Recreation was honored to be involved with this group of forward thinking community members and to help them shape this project and the conversation about what a park can be for a community.
