May Nissen Park

This 12.2 acre community park was named after the longtime Livermore teacher, May Nissen in 1962. This park was renovated in 2019.

Details

May Nissen Park took nature-inspired play and turned it up a notch with giant flower sun shades from SkyWays® by Landscape Structures. In addition to keeping visitors cooler and protected from the sun, these shades cast fun shadows for even more fun. Down below, an inclusive PlayBooster® playstructure gives kids ages 5 to 12 the feel of playing in a forest, tree fort or anything their nature-focused imagination can create. Custom log climbers add texture to the playground and encourage kids to explore to find bugs, critters and more.
